Graphic Art and Slogan Competition for Harrington Square Shopping Centre
The Harrington Square Traders Association is seeking a graphic logo and slogan to brand the Harrington Square Shopping Centre.
Kerrie who is on the management committee and runs ‘lol coffee & games’ at the square says “the traders are keen to invite community members from the Western Suburbs to enter a competition to design ‘the logo and slogan concepts’ for the shopping centre”.
The winning logo and slogan will be used on display at the shopping centre and in the squares marketing and publicity campaigns to promote business in the square. Our aim is to make sure that people know where the square is and what type of shopping it has to offer.
The competition will open in mid December 2007 and run into the first week of March 2008.
Entry forms will be available at several different businesses around the square including at:
- lol coffee and games – Shop 16.
- Stagezone – Shop 21.
- West Side Stories – Shop 22 and
- Rival Hair Dzine – Shop 28
A Harrington Square Traders Association email address also allows entrants to receive the form electronically. Apply for the entry form at harringtonsquare@gmail.com
The entry form will spell out the rules for the competition and instructions for researching and presenting the graphic design entries.
More than one entry per person is permissible and the age group is open meaning that anyone of any age can enter. Jill from West Side Stories emphasised that “the entrants don’t have to be professional artists. We particularly want young people to enter the competition and plan on contacting local high schools and colleges about entering the competition”.
