The idea of making your way down Old Geelong Road looking for a great leather lounge would to most of us seem more tiring than doing an 8 hour shift at work.  For those of you who dread this experience as much as I do, I have one word for you – “Miva”. 

A good friend of mine recently suggested Miva.  She had recently bought a gorgeous coffee table from there and had mentioned it in passing.  The memory of that conversation came back as soon as I saw the large sign out the front.  As soon as I walked in, the first thing I saw was a very modern looking red leather lounge which presented beautifully and I knew that I had come to the right place.

Miva perfectly balances the growing trend between traditional furniture and something with a little more edge.  Whether you are looking for ultra modern or contemporary designs, you will find something which suits you.  They have an incredible selection on offer.

Miva pride themselves on the quality of their products.  However don’t be fooled to thinking that you will be in a financial mess after coming here.  The prices are incredibly reasonable.  I was impressed with the value for money on offer here.

Even though the place was abuzz with people, the atmosphere was incredibly relaxing.  The service was great.  The staff presented a genuine interest in helping with any of my queries and were very friendly.  They did not overwhelm me either, I felt that I was free to move around and take all the time I needed in making my
decision.

To sum up, Miva offer a great buying experience, a beautiful range to choose from but without a massive price tag.  You will not be disappointed!!

Gnocchi Monster

Around the office and to my close friends I am known as the Gnocchi Monster. The main reason behind is that every Italian restaurant I visit I never fail to order the gnocchi. Chicken avocado gnocchi, gnocchi marinara, gnocchi calabrese – it really doesn’t phase me as long as it is gnocchi. It has gotten to the stage that I will only go out to places that serve good gnocchi.

One of my favourite places to go for a really good gnocchi is Serrano's. I usually take a friend or two and take a WP voucher which entitles you to a free garlic bread and 1.25 litre coke (see coupon and T&C's)

The Chicken avocado gnocci at Serrano’s (especially on a cold day) makes an excellent lunch or even dinner.
